Cobain guitar on block to help Colts’ mental health cause

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay spent years putting together his expansive guitar collection. Now he’s trying to add a Fender Mustang electric guitar used by Kurt Cobain.

Cobain’s family is auctioning off the blue guitar used in Nirvana’s iconic “Smells Like Teen Spirit” music video and other items that belonged to the late singer.

Selectmen consider expanding tax relief for seniors

GREENWICH — Before renewing a program that provides tax relief to seniors, the Greenwich Board of Selectmen is considering whether to expand the benefits to help more elderly residents.

The tax credit program is scheduled to expire June 30, 2019, and the selectmen are looking to approve an extension.
