BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — LSU quarterback Myles Brennan has decided to end his college football career after five seasons with the Tigers.
The 23-year-old Brennan, who announced his decision on Monday, spent his first three years at LSU as a backup.
HOUSTON (AP) — Deuce Vaughn and the Kansas State Wildcats finished a streaky season on a positive note Tuesday night with a dominant 42-20 win over short-handed LSU in the Texas Bowl.
Vaughn, a sophomore running back and first-team All-American as an all-purpose player, rushed for 146 yards on 21 carries.

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Fifth-year senior quarterback Myles Brennan has decided to exit the transfer portal and return to LSU under new head coach Brian Kelly.
Brennan announced his decision with a social media post on Thursday morning, about a week after 2021 LSU starting quarterback Max Johnson announced his intention to transfer out.
While there are benefits to knowing now that sophomore Max Johnson will be LSU's starting quarterback, the Tigers also could have profited from what was expected to be a close competition for the position before Myles Brennan's recent fluke, off-the-field injury, coach Ed Orgeron said.
