BOZEMAN : A poll of Montana voters conducted jointly by Montana State University political scientists and the Montana Television Network indicates that the Senate race for Montana is a dead heat.

The poll showed incumbent Democrat Jon Tester holds a three-point lead over GOP challenger Matt Rosendale : with 46.2 percent of respondents favoring Tester, 43.1 percent supporting Rosendale, 2.6 preferring Libertarian candidate Rick Breckenridge and 6.5 percent respondents still undecided.

Columbia Falls’ Peyton Kehr signs with Montana State-Northern

Montana State University-Northern women’s basketball coach Chris Mouat has announced the signing of Peyton Kehr of Columbia Falls to join the Skylights next fall.

Kehr, a 5-foot-10 guard, is a two-time all-state selection and was named the Most Valuable Player at the Class A state tournament, where she averaged 15 points per game and helped lead Columbia Falls to its first title since 1983.

Montana State Billings women’s golf finishes 14th at Otter Invite

SEASIDE, Calif. – The Montana State University Billings women’s golf team finished in 14th place among the field of 18 at the Cal State Monterey Bay Otter Invite at Bayonet Golf Course on Tuesday.

The Yellowjackets finished with a two-round total of 672, shooting a 325 in the opening round Monday and finishing with a score of 347 on Tuesday in damp playing conditions.
