Keith N. Schwarze

BEAVER DAM -- Keith N. Schwarze went home to Jesus on Friday, Feb. 22, 2019, at the age of 87 years.

Keith was very involved in baseball all of his life, as a player, manager of the Horicon Hurricanes and a longtime umpire. Keith was inducted into the Rock River Hall of Fame.

He was a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.

Keith was a Korean War veteran, serving in 1952-1953.

He is survived by his children Kurt Schwarze of Stratford, Beth Schwarze, Gwen St. Piearie and Dawn Penning, all of Wisconsin; one brother, Carl (Pat Blase) Schwarze; sisters Dorothy Budd of Minden, Nevada, Florence Norris of Hometown, Illinois, Eleanor Rzeptka of Hartford, Eldoris Midthun of Brookfield; one sister-in-law, Catherine Schwarze; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Elizabeth, and one brother, Gene Schwarze, in 2014.

Keith worked in law enforcement as a police officer in Horicon and as a Department of Natural Resources warden for the state of Wisconsin, and in sales.
