HHS has two winners at Ohio wrestling tournament
BARNESVILLE, Ohio — Clayton Stewart and Zane Lanham were individual champions for Huntington High’s wrestling team Saturday in a third-place performance at the Barnesville Doan Ford Invitational.
Stewart was the 160-pound weight class winner by a pin against Hunter Nixon of Wheeling Park at 2:34. Lanham won in the 182-pound class with a 13-6 decision against Jacob Armstrong from Indian Valley in Ohio.
London Bowen and A .J. Dempsey from the Highlanders were runners-up at 120 and 152 pounds respectively. Jaishawn Lyles (113) and Alex Viars (132) placed fifth in their weight classes and Gabe Dempsey (138) was sixth.
Indian Valley won the meet with 227.5 points followed by Wheeling Park (222.5) and Huntington High (158).
