Socialism must be rejected
Mark Twain was a man who gave understanding to the simple and the educated alike. One of his famous quotes has never been more profound than it is today, “Politicians and diapers must be changed often, and for the same reason.” Mark Twain and our founding fathers knew that power corrupts. When someone has too much power, they will abuse it. Government attracts people with bloated egos who blatantly speak out of both sides of their mouth.
Socialism is rapidly creeping into our lives. Progressive career politicians, tenured leftist teachers and revisionist college professors are brainwashing young people who do not know what has truly made this nation great. The privileged progressive socialists think that they shouldn’t have to work or pay for their education, because the less-privileged working class will provide for their every need. The tightfisted, vocal, privileged leftists throwing tantrums in the streets think that the First Amendment is for them only. Those who resist the truth believe the lies.
Wealth cannot be sustained by taking from the working class and giving to the non-working class. If the privileged progressive socialist is given everything, the hard-working non-socialist will have nothing.
The Declaration of Independence proclaims that the American people “are absolved from all allegiance to the British Crown.” Socialism was rejected then and must be rejected now. We need term limits.
