Police: 1 killed, another wounded in Missouri home invasion
FULTON, Mo. (AP) — One man was killed and another injured in a home invasion in east-central Missouri, police there said.
The incident happened Monday night in Fulton, television station KOMU reported. Fulton police said officers were called to a home just before 9 p.m. for a report of gunfire and found a 58-year-old man with life-threatening gunshot wounds and a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg. Both men were taken to hospitals, where the older man died. Their names were not immediately released.
Police said the shooting happened during a home invasion during which a female resident of the house was assaulted.
No arrests or suspects have been reported.
Fulton is a city of around 12,800 that lies about 22 miles (35.4 kilometers) southeast of Columbia.
