Commuter bus hits another bus, driver taken to hospital

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey Transit commuter bus rear-ended anotherThursday morning, leaving a driver and three passengers injured, the agency said.

The accident happened on the White Horse Pike as the No. 554 bus, carrying six passengers, was headed from Lindenwold to Atlantic City, NJ Transit said.

According to NJ Transit, the bus struck the back of a disabled NJ Transit bus that had no passengers on board.

The driver who struck the bus had to be extricated and was taken to a hospital. Three passengers also complained of injuries, NJ Transit said.

The extent of the injuries is unknown.

Police were investigating the crash.
