(WASHINGTON, DC) – Louisianians are Letting the Good Times Roll this weekend in the nation’s capital. It’s Mardi Gras time in Washington, DC.

Saturday night, thousands attended the ball and indoor parade at the host hotel, the Washington Hilton.

The fun started Thursday night and when you’re the king of Washington Mardi Gras and also founder and CEO of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, Todd Graves, you don’t just throw a little party. You host a masquerade ball and have legendary Louisiana chef John Folse cater and Better Than Ezra and Flo Rida provide the entertainment.

A who’s who lineup of Louisiana politicians, from Gov. John Bel Edwards to the entire congressional delegation, are attending the signature events.

The party, in its eighth decade, is hosted by the Mystick Krewe of Louisianians, currently captained by Republican U.S. Rep. Steve Scalise.

The Friday Night Festival was a seated dinner for 3,500 people where more than 50 princesses and festival queens from all over the state were introduced.
