Senior prom to provide fun, dancing for Putnam seniors

HOMETOWN — Putnam County residents ages 60 and older are cordially invited to this year’s Putnam County Senior Prom. Scheduled for 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday, April 26, this year’s prom will be held at the Hometown Senior Center, 40 First Ave. North, Hometown.

This year’s prom theme is masquerade and will feature masked dancing, friends, and light refreshments. Seniors are invited to bring their own masks, though masks will also be available at the prom.

This will be the Putnam County Senior Prom’s third year, with the event cycling between Putnam’s three senior centers.

It is organized by Putnam County Aging Program, a nonprofit organization serving the aged and disabled of central West Virginia. The agency has been providing services including in-home care, nutrition, transportation, and more to seniors in communities across central West Virginia for over 35 years.
