Eva Longoria touts best birthday gift ever
Normally on her birthday, Eva Longoria’s Twitter feed is filled with all sorts of exciting plans to celebrate.
But this year, San Antonio’s adopted A-lister, who turns 43 today, has another birth on her mind: that of her first child, a boy, with husband José “Pepe” Bastón. The baby is expected in May.
“I can’t believe on this birthday I have a pending birth inside of me! Thank you all for the birthday wishes already! It’s been an amazing year, but my greatest gift? Already got it,” she tweeted.
The star can be seen on the big screen soon with Anna Faris in the gender-flipping remake of comedy “Overboard.” She will be peddling her fashion collection next Wednesday and Thursday on the Home Shopping Network.
But articles about her of late focus on her upcoming blessed event, how she’s living in leggings and what she misses most.
She recently joked about that on Instagram, flashing a photo of a maternity T-shirt that reads: “I like to think wine misses me, too.”
Moreover, she’s been thankful for some help from celebrity friends, particularly Kerry Washington of “Scandal” fame.
Of the actress and two-time mom, Longoria told People Magazine recently: “She helped me find a baby nurse, and (figure out what) a doula is. She’s been an endless source of information.
“She gave me this suitcase of maternity clothes,” she added. “It’s like the traveling suitcase — it just gets passed on. Then I have to add to it and then I’ll pass it on. Kerry’s been amazing.”
She also said she couldn’t be happier that her first child is a boy.
“I’m so excited,” she said recently on an Instagram video, “because I think the world needs more good men. This boy, my son, will be surrounded by very strong, educated, powerful women, and I think it’s important that he sees those types of role models in his life so he knows how to support it, how to applaud it and how to honor it.”
