Beer and Wine Will Pour at Sunday’s 10th Annual Festival
FITCHBURG -- The Nashua River Brewers Festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary Sunday, June 30, from 1 to 6 p.m., at Riverfront Park.
The festival features great music and great beers, with more than 40 Massachusetts brewers, cider makers and wines.
Among the entries this year are Altruist Brewing from Sturbridge, Hitchcock Brewing from Whately, Shakesbeer from Hingham, Vanished Valley from Ludlow, and Fitchburg’s own River Styx Brewing.
The festival will also feature a wine table courtesy of Gomes Liquors for those who prefer wine. All tastings will occur under a tent to protect samplers from the weather. Everyone gets a genuine collectible glass upon entry, and tasting tickets are $1 each.
Live music will be performed, featuring Zack Slik, Sheperd, Dots on Dice, and Angry Johnny and the Killbillies.
Advance tickets are $15 and available in Fitchburg at Gomes Liquors, Mill #3 Farmstand, Partners Pub and City Hall, in Leominster at Wymans Liquors, in Athol at The Blind Pig, or at www.beersforgood.com . Tickets are $20 day of the event. It’s a 21-and-over event.
The charitable event is co-sponsored by the city of Fitchburg and Beers For Good, a member of the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts. Proceeds benefit the Veterans Homestead, MIHN homeless shelter and Cameron’s Crusaders.
