Copa Holdings: Q1 Earnings Snapshot
PANAMA CITY (AP) _ Copa Holdings SA (CPA) on Wednesday reported first-quarter net income of $19.8 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Panama City-based company said it had net income of 47 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 70 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 36 cents per share.
The holding company for Panama’s national airline posted revenue of $571.6 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $566.1 million.
