Man killed, 17-year-old wounded in shooting in Middletown
MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (AP) — A man was killed and a teenager was wounded in a shooting in Middletown on Sunday, police said.
A dispute escalated into gunfire near Highlands Crescent and Stirling Court just before 11 a.m., Lt. Brian Hubbs, a spokesperson for the Middletown Police Department, said in a news release.
When officers arrived, they learned that an adult man had been fatally shot and a 17-year-old male victim had been wounded. The teenager was hospitalized in stable condition, Hubbs said.
The shooting victims’ names were not immediately released. Police said they believe the shooter and the victims were known to each other.
A white, 2017 Acura was seen leaving the scene, police said. Investigators were looking to speak to the driver.
