ST. LOUIS (AP) — Police have identified a Missouri man who was fatally run over and dragged by a car that then fled the scene in St. Louis.

The crash happened around 11:20 p.m. Sunday in the city’s Walnut Park West neighborhood, killing Damian Moore, 47, of Country Club Hills, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

A witness reported having a brief conversation with Moore as the two met on Goodfellow Boulevard. The witness said a car drove toward them, then veered into oncoming lanes to hit Moore. Police say the car then dragged Moore south along the street before fleeing.
