Pocatello Free Clinic on the move with Shamrock Shuffle and new location

May 9, 2019 GMT

The Pocatello Free Clinic (PFC) has been on the move this spring. In March, 170 runners and walkers and a host of volunteers, many dressed brightly in green for St. Patrick’s Day, turned out to show their support for health and PFC. The 5K walk/run at Ross Park was followed by food, prizes, and even a dance-off.

The Shamrock Shuffle raised nearly $4,000, which has been used to help PFC move into its new location at 1001 N. 7th Ave. North Suite 155 after nearly 50 years of serving the community from the old Alameda city fire station. PFC’s move to the new location, in partnership with the new Behavioral Health Center, will allow it to expand its services to care for the growing needs of our community. PFC employees, volunteers, and friends have been transporting equipment to the new location during the month of April in preparation for a formal open house in early May.

The Shamrock Shuffle would not have been possible without the support of participants and volunteers throughout our community. Special thanks go out to the many individuals and organizations from Pocatello, Blackfoot, and Lava Hot Springs who contributed to this event, including:
