CALGARY, Alberta (AP) _ Suncor Energy Inc. (SU) on Monday reported profit of $2.33 billion in its first quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Calgary, Alberta-based company said it had profit of $1.63. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were $1.52 per share.

The energy company posted revenue of $10.65 billion in the period.
