Fake news films

Though best known for pouring beer, the Alamo Drafthouse is biting into the fake news bit by hosting screenings of movies about or involving journalism. On tap today: Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man” films, “Broadcast News” and “Fletch.”

Surreal life

Gazing at a Ron Mueck sculpture, you confront what it means to be human at a level that’s more than skin deep - literally through pores and hair and body fluids that are part of the realism in his scaled (up or down) sculptures.
