Banco Bilbao: Q2 Earnings Snapshot
MADRID (AP) _ Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, S.A. (BBVA) on Friday reported second-quarter net income of $1.78 billion.
The bank, based in Madrid, said it had earnings of 27 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted to account for discontinued operations, came to 30 cents per share.
The bank posted revenue of $6.49 billion in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $6.49 billion, which beat Street forecasts.
The company’s shares closed at $4.28. A year ago, they were trading at $6.35.
